Identifying Human Preview Control Behavior Using Subsystem Identification

Better understanding of manual control requires more research on human anticipatory feedforward behaviour. Recent advances include a model for preview tracking, and subsystem identification (SSID) technique that uses candidate pool approach to identify the feedback responses. This paper discusses performance SSID method when estimating parameters. Through simulations task with two controlled element dynamics, different remnant noise levels densities is quantified. We demonstrate its successful application show deteriorates higher levels. While parameters are estimated accurately, high-frequency compensatory dynamics cannot be reliably determined.
